I am thinking of creating a Donor's Choose project for my class. We need higher level chapter book sets to challenge our readers. Any advice from you all? What has been your experience with Donor's Choose?

Taking a Bite Out of Books
Our January Book Project was a Sandwich Report. Students were to explain a different part of the book in each 'layer' of the sandwich.
Bread: Title, Author, Illustrator, Student Name
Lettuce (get it, "Let Us"): Summarize the Book
Tomato: A slice of the setting (Draw/Describe)
Meat: What's the meat of the story? Describe the main character
Cheese: What part of the story made you smile and say cheese? Describe
Onion: Was the story sweet or tearful? What did you think of the book?
Bread: Tell what you liked or didn't like about the author's style of writing this book.

February Book Project: Due Wednesday, February 29th
It's already February! Time for the February Book Project :)
This month, we are focusing on Autobiography and Biography books. Students will need to find an autobiography or biography about a famous person to complete this book project. Directions will be sent home at the beginning of February and the project can be turned in anytime before or on the due date of Wednesday, February 29th.
Students will need to write a short poem about their famous person as well as complete a timeline including 7 to 10 events from their person's life. This timeline should include a description of the event and a drawing of the event.
