We read the books Mama, Do You Love Me? and Papa, Do You Love Me? today. After reading, we discussed how people show others they love someone. Is it a hug & kiss, is it doing something without being asked, is it listening them?
I know my parents love me because they help me.
I know my parents love me because they love me and care for me when I am hurt or sad.
I know my mom loves me because she cooks me dinner.
I know my parents love me cause they hug me & kiss me & give me presents & I love them.
Each student then made part of our Heart Quilt describing how they know their mom/dad/parents love them. Their reasons were wonderful (and sometimes funny) to read!
