Eggs Full of Sound

EGG-cellent Sound!
I put my students hearing to the test today! I had twelve plastic eggs packed with a variety of items: dice, marshmallows, pennies, cotton, thread, rice, toothpicks, key, marbles, macaroni, paperclips, and beans.

After listening to the the sounds the eggs made as they were shook, the students guessed which objects were in each egg. Some of the eggs were stumpers (thread, cotton, marshmallows)!

    1. It's an AIMS activity. I used to have it but when I got out of the classroom, my stuff went in to the circular file.
